Hi, I'm Tracy, and I'm addicted to Zillow.
Whew, glad to get that off my chest! I think I have had the Zillow app on my phone for about a year now, which means any time I am even remotely bored, I will tap it open and start looking at available homes.
There are pros and cons to this.
*PRO: It gives us the opportunity to see what types of homes we think we like without having a Realtor yet.
*CON: We liked a ton of houses in one particular area based on the Zillow profiles of homes for sale. But, You can't get a feel for the neighborhood until you actually get there. It wasn't pretty!
*PRO: You can filter your budget, bedroom, bathroom requirements and lots of other criteria. No sense drooling over $300K homes we can't afford!
*CON: Photos can be deceiving. We have seen a lot of listings that were so gross I am not sure we would consider the house. Chances are we are missing out on a gem based off of the disgusting photos. On the other hand, I fell in love with one house based on the photos alone (great staging!) but realized the square footage was too small. That huge living area must have been photographed very creatively!
Regardless, I am happy to have it so I can be a creepy lurker BUT I am really excited to actually go inside a real home that's for sale!
There it is...my Zillow app! Down there on the bottom row!
