Fall field trip: Silver Plume

Silver Plume, Colorado
Fall is my most favorite time of year- I love the crisp Colorado air, the bright leaves and pumpkin-flavored everything! We always try to get up to the mountains for an afternoon adventure. In the past, we've done day trips to Georgetown, Evergreen and Idaho Springs. This year we decided to try Silver Plume.

Just a short hour from Denver, Silver Plume is right past Georgetown. It's just a wee strip of land right on the river and has the most gorgeous scenery! We popped into DRAM Apothecary/Bread Bar for a cocktail; it was a perfectly-quirky little mountain bar. I had the Milk and Cookies cocktail (toasted pecan bourbon, hazelnut syrup, and almond milk served with a snickerdoodle cookie). It was strong + tasty! Max had a gin cocktail and roasted corn chowder. We topped off our visit with a stroll down the street and then headed back to the city.
